Saskatoon Empulse Geophysics

Saskatoon Empulse GeophysicsEMpulse Geophysics specializes in the application of natural source electromagnetics towards earth resource exploration. We have thus far conducted surveys for uranium, diamond and groundwater exploration.

We are a small company with two full time employees, David Goldak, M.Sc. (Physics) and Shawn Goldak, Ph.D. (Applied Mathematics).

Our SFERIC-EM instrumentation and Adaptive Polarization Stacking (APS) algorithm have grown out of many years of research and development conducted by EMpulse Geophysics.

We have also benefited greatly from work done at the University of Saskatchewan, Dept. of Physics and Engineering Physics, by Peter Kosteniuk and Dr. Ken Paulson in the mid 1980’s. They were arguably the first to construct a fully digital, transient magnetotelluric instrument in 1982. Our instrumentation and software are based heavily on this body of
excellent work.

We are constantly striving to improve our instrumentation and software and as such are
actively engaged in many research and development projects.
